In the early 2000s, a skilled CEO named Sandi Davies traveled to Saudi Arabia to train 400 security officers. Despite her expertise, the language barrier made it tough for the officers to grasp the English training materials. The human resources department tried hiring English speakers, but they lacked security knowledge.
Realizing the issue, they decided to translate the Certified Protection Officer program into Arabic in 2020. This move proved successful, breaking down language barriers and ensuring more officers could benefit from the program’s carefully crafted content.
Since then, the International Foundation for Protection Officers (IFPO) has been dedicated to expanding its reach beyond borders. Now, their flagship program is available in five languages: English, Urdu, Arabic, French, and Tagalog. Their goal is to extend this to 10 languages by 2025.
