Initially known as IFPO ME (Middle East) for the countries in the region, IFPO MENASA has expanded significantly to include the Middle East, North Africa, and the Asia Pacific.
Nadeem Iqbal, while working in the Middle East, recognized that many individuals could greatly benefit from the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) program to enhance their careers. However, a significant barrier was the language, as most entry-level security officers had limited proficiency in English, and the CPO program was exclusively offered in that language. After entering into an agreement with IFPO, Nadeem Iqbal dedicated himself to the task of making IFPO courses available in regional languages. Initially, his attempts were met with skepticism, as many believed it was an unfeasible endeavor that would yield no positive outcomes. Despite facing multiple rejections, he remained steadfast in his conviction.
In June 2020, his perseverance paid off when the first CPO program was successfully delivered in Arabic. Since that milestone, over 300 individuals have completed the CPO program, more than 100 have participated in the Security Supervision and Management Program (SSMP), and over 20,000 have engaged in the National Protection Officer (NPO) program through IFPO MENASA. Currently, the Foundation offers 11 distinct programs available in English, Arabic, and French.
